The Reindeer Inn ceiling pattern of the Great Chamber becomes a sky of
constellations in this painting. For hundreds of years, the stars of the night
sky have shone down upon Athelhampton. However, with the advances of space
technology and especially the launch of orbiting satellites, it can now be
difficult to determine between man-made
and natural constellations in the heavens.
